JQGrid How to remove annoying horizontal scrollbar when autowidth = true? (In IE)

It seems I get an annoying horizontal scrollbar when using autowidth = true in IE

What is going on here and how can I get rid of it?

Make your grid high enough to contain all the rows. The horizontal scrollbar is there because the vertical scrollbar occupies some width commonly used by lines.
