I am a programmer with 5 years of experience, and I am thinking about going to the iPhone. I checked some books from the library for information. I found something that bothered me, tucked into a small corner of the book:
“The development unit should be dedicated exclusively to development. Using the device as a development unit means that it is subject to change on board and may not work reliably as a field device.”
Book "Cookbook iPhone Developer" by Addison-Wesley / Pearson Education. I did not find anything like this in any other book, so I was wondering if this was true. I would prefer not to buy another iPod Touch / iPhone just for development, if it can be avoided.
