Changing a value in machine.config

Editing machine.config will recycle all the AppDomains applications on the server. For all purposes and tasks, it is similar to IIS reset in terms of ASP.Net application. IIS full reset does a bit more.

Please note that editing the web.config file for the application will cause the workflow of the AppDomain application to be processed, and not the entire server.
