Is CakePHP modeled after Ruby on Rails?

I have not used Rails, but I am a little familiar with it. I am more familiar with CakePHP. I understand CakePHP is modeled after Rails, and they seem to have a lot in common.

But basically, I would like to know if patterning myself after Rails or has ever been one of CakePHP's goals? I understand that this is not a port, but Rails ... inspiration, so to speak?

And although I am sure that the answer is probably a qualified “yes”, I could not find anything on CakePHP sites to support this. So ... quote :)
