How to get iPhone SDK 2.2.1 for Xcode 3.2?

After my upgrade to Snow Leopard and Xcode 3.2 (which I really regret!), Xcode lost all the SDKs. I am one of those old-fashioned idiots who still want to evolve for 2.2.1. But Apple does not offer me the old SDK version.

Now I was smart and made many backups of the time. But: What is the preferred way to get iPhone SDK 2.2.1 with Xcode 3.2? Some guys said it was even possible. I hope that I still do not believe in all these "fake" statistics, and, in addition, my application does not use the additional 3.x functions, so I would not want to restrain my market just for this laziness.

Any idea?

Get the final sdk 3.1, it has 2.2.1 sdk in it. On the disk, its usual location:

/Developer/Platforms/iPhoneOS.platform/Developer/SDKs/iPhoneOS2.2.1.sdk

Also included are versions 3.0 and 3.1.

Regardless of whether you are targeting iPhone OS 3.0 or not using any 3.0 specific features, you should always compile the application against the latest SDKs in order to take advantage of bug fixes and performance improvements.

You can compile with the 3.0 SDK and set a target deployment level for iPhone OS 2.2.1 and still serve users who use 2.2.1.

You may find that some methods are outdated, but that does not stop you from using them until you are ready to move on.
