Startups and QA

At the beginning of the process, the launch should have a dedicated QA. Often QA is added quite late.

My question is in two parts:

  • When does a dedicated QA need to be part of the launch effort, and why?
  • What skills should the first members of QA have (create and execute test scripts, automate testing using common tools, record unit tests, plan and execute complex load and stability tests, etc.)?
