Why Maven does not work with SurefireExecutionException:> Unable to set parameter in parallel with value

Hi, I'm working on a tutorial here using Windows XP and recent builds.

Can someone please tell me what these tags are.

<threadCount>10</threadCount>

When I use these tags, I get a failure:

From the surefire-plugin document :

parallel ( TestNG). , TestNG , , , , .

threadCount ( TestNG) , . .

, TestNG . surefire :

  <version>2.4.2</version>
  <configuration>
    <parallel>methods</parallel>
    <threadCount>10</threadCount>

This can also happen if you are using an older version of TestNG.

Try updating your dependency to TestNG, for example:

<dependency>
  <groupId>org.testng</groupId>
  <artifactId>testng</artifactId>
  <version>5.11</version>
  <classifier>jdk15</classifier>
  <scope>test</scope>
</dependency>

PS: Many people usually use version 5.1.
