How can I save a local data store for GoogleAppEngineLauncher between reboots?

I use GoogleAppEngineLauncher (GAEL) on Mac OS X. The data store state for my application persists between server restarts and even GAEL reboots, but if I reboot, the data store is reset. Is there a parameter to prevent this reset, or is there a tmp file somewhere that I can save?

• Click "Edit" → "Application Settings"
• In the "Additional Flags" section, enter "--datastore_path = / Users / yourname / where"
