Best way to automate a site?

Here's the scenario: as an insurance agent, you constantly work with several insurance sites. For every website I need to log in and pull out a client. I am looking to automate this process.

I currently have a solution for iMacros, but this requires a download / install.

I am looking for a solution using the .NET platform that will allow the user to provide their credentials and client information, and I can automate this process for them.

This will be associated with information about each specific website, which is in order, I will have all this information.

I would like this process to take place in the background, and then launch the website to the user after completing the action.

Use Watin . This is an open source .NET library for automating IE and Firefox. This is much simpler than manipulating raw HTTP requests or hacking a WebBrowser control to do what you want, and you can run it from a console application or service, as you mentioned that it will not be a WinForms application.

You can also make the browser window invisible, if necessary, since you mentioned this only at a certain point.
