I want to update our CRUD web forms and would appreciate any examples of good user interface design.
We have many database tables that have minimal user editing needs - country codes, tax codes, product prices, etc. - and all of them currently use a simple format for CRUD, but it was developed by the developers and looks very soft and may have much better usability and, of course, better design.
Our process:
Find Screen - which also has an ADD NEW button. Enter values ββfor any parameters that are relevant for the search, and press the FIND button. Corresponding records are displayed in the grid using the EDIT link. The corresponding editing form allows CLONE, DELETE and SAVE.
If necessary, the editing form can display child entries.
For very complex recordings / relationships, the editing form is replaced by a recording card that displays everything, including the kitchen sink! and corresponding entries / subheadings have EDIT links.
Its functional but boring.
Based on the 80:20 code, everything is mechanically generated, so re-creating it for a new metaphor should not be too complicated.
I like a lot of the user interface in the Magento eCommerce Admin pages , but I would be interested in any other examples that you can recommend
