How do sites like livescore.com work?

I had an idea to work on lifecore with some additions, however, before even trying to work on one, I would like to know where such sites get their data from?

I do not know this site, but there seem to be several viable options:

  • Subscribe to a direct channel of information from the supplier, for example. broadcaster or similar. I would suggest that it will be fair and limited in use, etc.
  • Hire people to get information from different sources (including primary sources, i.e. watch several games) and manually update the database.
