CSS management on large sites

I recently started working on a very large high traffic website. We would very much like to reduce the size and number of our style sheets, minimization is one route that we will pursue, but does anyone know any tools for checking the use of identifier and class? Literally scanning a website to find out what is active and what is not?

Alternatively, any css editing software to reduce repetition and size?

Thank you in advance

Other options are to reduce the number of templates used on the site. There is no need for two templates with a difference of 2 pixels (layout schemes are a good way to stick to this) or inconsistent ways to display error messages. Define the overall look of your site and give directions to web designers, if not already done.
