Delete a file from a TortoiseHG data source

I use TortoiseHG to manage the source code on Windows, I forgot to edit the ".hgignor" file, and now I have a huge ".hg" folder, which I know because of the DLL and EXE and PDB files that I do not need them . Changing the ignore file now does not delete these files.

What should I do to completely delete these files from my TortoiseHg data source?

You can use the command hg removeto delete files in your repository. If you use TortoiseHG, you can right-click on the file and go to: TortoiseHG → Delete file.

See the “How to Stop File Tracking” section here.

if you want to stop tracking files, but leave them in the working directory, use hg forget. Help also says that you can achieve the same effect using hg remove -Af.
