Why am I getting an error on the svn client "XML parsing error on line 1 without element" when accessing VisualSVN Server?

If you use the wrong URL, you may receive the following error to access the VisualSVN Server repository with the Subversion client, for example. TortoiseSVN :

XML parse error at line 1 no element found

What is the reason and how to get rid of the error?

Read KB102: Subversion Client Errors Caused by Invalid Repository URL . You will most likely get this error because the URL in the repositories is incorrect.
