Deploying an ASP.NET Web Application

Question

This weekend I will be deploying my web application on a test server. I have already had several attempts to install it and find problems with:

• Database connection
• Authentication
• Master Page Links

What major / minor traps have you found and how will I avoid or correct them?

Or is there one stop for deploying web applications?
