About Watch Watch Timer

Can someone tell me whether to enable or disable the guard dog while running / downloading the code? My friend told me that we usually disable the guard dog in the boot code. Can someone tell me what is the advantage or disadvantage of this?

It really depends on your project. The supervisor should help you make sure that your program will not get stuck during code execution. - If there is a possibility that your program may freeze during the boot procedure, it may also make sense to enable a watchdog timer.

As the saying goes, I usually start a watchdog at the end of my boot routines.
