Symbol Display ® in Silverlight

Folks!

I am trying to display ® characters and TM superscript characters in a silverlight application. I want to save text containing characters in a resx file.

Things I tried:

  • Copy the symbol ® from any document into the resx file. ® gets displayed in the resx file. But when launching the silverlight application, a xamlparseexception is thrown.

  • Use the unicode & # 174 text instead of the ® symbol in the resx file. The same xamlparseexception is thrown.

My resx file encoding is utf-8.

Appreciate your thoughts!

Editorial:
Incorrectly mentioned @ instead of ®.

The redbox in the snapshot is how the symbol is displayed in Silverlight. Bluebox is how it should be displayed.
