If you want to understand some of the technical details of obfuscation, I would recommend reading a series of Paul Mason's blog posts. The series is called “Protecting Your Precious Code,” and you can find it here .
It is associated with a project called NCloak , it is open, so you can download the source code and see for yourself if you want.
But I have to agree with others, it’s not easy, and therefore you are probably better off buying a commercial product. As Paul says in several of his articles, there are ways to get around most methods, this is just the case when someone wants to spend it on it.
