Assemblies and Class Libraries (.NET)

Can anyone point out the advantage of using assemblies in the ASP.NET β€œcontext” .

As I understand it, assemblies run as executable files, have one entry point and can run inside the application domain, but I have found very few suitable examples on the Internet.

An assembly is not just an executable file ... an assembly is essentially a .NET library that can have an executable entry point ...

The only real flaw that I came across is that you are trying to debug and execute logic. Just make sure your classes are robust before compiling and posting in the GAC.

Hope this helps answer your question.
