Using MySQL Views in PHP Applications

I have three tables in the application, and I need to execute a query that joins all three of them on a regular basis. Most likely, all three of these tables will be updated frequently.

I am considering using a view to avoid using the verbose syntax in several places in my code. Would that be a good option? I have not used presentations in a large-scale application before and am not sure of the effects that they will have on performance (positive or negative).

Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks.
