Create a window and exit the edge of the screen

I am trying to overwrite the application that I have for Windows in Objective-C for my Mac, and I want to be able to do something like Mac hot corners. If I move the mouse to the left side of the screen, it will make the window visible; if I move it outside the window, the window will disappear again. (the window will be shifted to the left on the screen).

Does anyone know where I can find a demo code (or link) on how to do this, or at least find out where the mouse is, even if the current application is not on top. (not sure how to say it, too accustomed to the Windows world).
