Saving settings in Matlab

A dumb question actually ... but lately I have been working on some project all day and my eyes hurt. How can I save the settings (more precisely, the color settings) in matlab so that I can reload them / exchange them for different ones when day is coming and night is coming?

Subquery - where exactly does Matlab (in this case, in my opinion, in 2008) save its settings? Can they be backup?

Settings are saved in the settings directory. For a specific user for each installation, you can find where he uses the command prefdiron the command line. I wrote a little about it on our official blog if you need more information. http://blogs.mathworks.com/desktop/2009/12/07/the-preferences-directory/

Settings are stored in custom text files in the prefdir folder. Each row entry in this file corresponds to one preference. These entries are explained here: http://undocumentedmatlab.com/blog/changing-system-preferences-programmatically/
