Using MS Access as a .NET Application Backend

I am a lonely .NET developer in a non-IT organization. I was asked to develop a .NET application using Microsoft Access as an internal (existing database).

I don’t know where to start.

As I myself am developing, what should I consider in order to avoid development? In what situations does only one developer work?

Please include a specific Microsoft Access tip in your response, as this is related to the question.
