Mac PackageMaker - Random reset owner / group / perms

When developing an installation with PackageMaker (Xcode 3.2.1 1613, for Snow Leopard), the rights, the owner and the group that I installed on most (if not all) of the files that just evaporate are sometimes allowed. The result looks like this: I just added the files to PackageMaker before setting the perm / own / grp file on each.

What is strange is that most of these xml files in the .pmdoc folder change, even index.xml, causing a big SVN problem when nothing has changed! When this happens, I just SVN Revert, and then inspect everything (maybe 20 minutes) before building.

How can i avoid this? What can I do to cause this (unwanted) behavior? I have not yet been able to correlate my actions with the problem. The next time this happens and I have downtime, I will modify the changes to .pmdoc / xml and see if I can find the template.

Meanwhile, if anyone has a few tips, I appreciate that.

I see the same when using .pmdoc projects generated using the PackageMaker GUI.

The files that make up .pmdoc contain built-in absolute paths to various things, including the .pmdoc file itself. This happens regardless of whether you change the paths to the installed files relative to the location of .pmdoc or something else.
