In my project, I found the .gpState file in the folder: What is the purpose of the gpState file?

I have never seen such a file in an ASP.NET application. Are you sure this is from ASP.NET?

Edit: this file seems to come from the Automation Toolkit manual (whatever it is).

Quote from the page:

As the developer uses the guidance package in his Visual Studio solution, the Automation Automation extensions will store information about how the guide package is used in the solution in a file named <SolutionName> .gpstate in the solution folder. The following information is stored in the .gpstate file:

  •
  • Related links and their initial state
  •
  • , ( )
  • , ,
  •

.gpstate, , .

.gpstate Visual Studio. , , .gpstate . , .gpstate, . , , . , , Automation Automation Extensions , , .

Agree with all the other answers. I like the explanation given in this answer from the user lgpanaro directly from the forum of models and practices. In particular, a bulleted list, it allows you to understand whether you want to register these files or not.

And by the way, it seems to me.
