ASP.NET Configuration Page

when I try to access the ASP.NET configuration page from Visual Studio 2008, I fail. I get an error message:

"An error has occurred. Return to the previous page and try again."

This is the message that I get after clicking the Help button: "The tool has timed out." As a security measure, the website administration tool expires after a period of inactivity. Changes to the machine.config or web.config file may also be in the tool that needs to be restarted. To continue setting up your website, reload the tool.

how can i solve this?
