Do I have to build my site using ASP.NET in order to use my knowledge in C #, or should I learn PHP and use this because of cost?

I am a C # programmer and I like this language. I think this is best after sliced bread. Recently, I really became interested in creating a website that offers jobs and allows companies to publish assignments for people to move around with.

It will be only a nationwide site, no international links.

I am a little familiar with ASP.NET (I used it before for a much smaller project for animals), but I wouldn’t say t say that I am more than

I have absolutely zero website experience or even domain registration. I am familiar with HTML and making XAML applications for WPF made it much easier for me to understand the things that were outlined in the markup.

Is ASP.NET hosting expensive? Is PHP cheaper? I just need a little guide. :)

Again, take it for what it costs. These are my limited observations. People will say low barrier to entry = bad encoders. I do not buy it. The worst application I've ever supported was a classic ASP application. Low entry barriers simply increase the size of the talent pool. You will have more bad coders, but you will also have more good coders.
