Problem installing Delphi 2007 on Windows 7 64 Bit Enterprise

I have a problem installing Delphi 2007 RAD Studio Professional on Windows 7 64 Bit Enterprise.

Everything is fine until I enter the serial number for the installation. After entering it and clicking the next button in the installation wizard, I get a script installation error message on line 906. OK, when this error closes the installer.

I did some Googling, but haven’t found anything like it yet (although I found many links to people who installed it on different versions of 64-bit windows and who had other problems).

I managed to install Delphi 2009 on the same computer without any problems.

I would really like 2007 to be installed, as we are currently our main Delphi development environment.

I'm having trouble installing Delphi 2007 from my original CodeGear DVD. However, after entering the CodeGear / Embarcadero website, I was able to download the latest ISO DVD code (with all the updates already installed) for Delphi 2007 and solve all my installation problems.

I would try this. In addition, you will need to remove your broken installation, if possible. Try using Revo Uninstaller (free) to help get rid of the extra stuff left from a broken installation.
