DDMS plugin does not load GPX files

I cannot load the GPX file into the eclipse DDMS plugin. When specifying a GPX file, no points are added to the emulator control list. I also tried adding KML files created in Google Earth.

Is there any way to make these files work? The contents of the file are as follows:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<gpx
  version="1.0"
  creator="RunKeeper - http://www.runkeeper.com"
  xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"

I just tried this with loading my own GPX files and nothing happened. Then I tried the tramper example and it worked.

It seems that <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="no" ?>at the beginning of the file should have a new line after it. Many GPX files simply continue right into the tag <gpx...on the first line.
