Change VIM VIM bandwidth

Question

In GVim, can I change the width of the GUI tabs (i.e. the tab shortcuts at the top that show guitablabel)?

In particular, tab shortcuts are not wide for guitablabel=%for any such length.

You can see this plugin : it offers many options for customizing your tabs, including variables that handle the minimum and maximum width, using the full path to the file, etc.
