HTTP status code for temporarily inaccessible pages

I am redesigning the site of my small business. I will temporarily post pop-ups. I know, I know ... but hopefully this will be one style. :)

Which, mainly for SEO purposes, is the best HTTP status code that may not be available for URLs that will be temporarily unavailable (the same URLs will have content again after the new site is ready).

Now my traffic on the site is unlikely to matter, but as a web developer, I want this knowledge in my box for possible future projects of clients. And what is the best way to check and experiment with it, now that I have a convenient "reason" with my own site.

Here are a few that I thought of:
503 looks attractive, but belongs to the category of server errors.
204 looks attractive, but I would rather temporarily redirect to the splash page.
307 looks like the best choice, but I'm not quite sure.

There are several others. Therefore, I am curious to hear your advice. Thanks

I do not agree with the selected answer. I would use code 503.

According to the RFC for HTTP / 1.1 :

503 Service unavailable

Currently, the server cannot process the request due to temporary overload or server maintenance. The implication is that this is a temporary condition that will be mitigated after some delay.

Yes, this should be a mistake, because the expected page will not appear.
