The easiest way to dynamically display math content on web pages

I want people to enter math (latex) in a text box and display math content dynamically as they enter on one page. how can this be done (i design on windows)?

For the dynamic update part, I suggest markitup . In preview mode, it updates the “processed” version of what you type (just like SO text fields).

For maths, I also recommend excellent jsmath (check out the examples !).

The combination of the two should match the score.

I used it with Drupal and am very happy with it. The js injector automatically enters code into the specified pages, and jQuery comes free. (There is also a version of Windows Drupal).

John Forkosh Mimetex then derives the equation. The request is sent through jQuery AJAX, so you do not need to refresh the page. I am sure there is a version of Mimetex for Windows.
