I am using Emacs remotely using X-Server on a Windows client and Linux server. I noticed that I can stop it with ctrl-z, and then type fg 1so that it works again. Is there a way I can get him to stop on the car I'm on, and then go to another car and start where I left off? When I start a new ssh session, emacs is not connected to my terminal. There must be something to “steal” it.
In addition, there may be an Emacs function that will do basically the same thing. However, I think that closing and reopening all of my files and buffers will take quite a while.
