In IE8, press F12, set the browser mode to IE8 and document mode to IE8.
Then go to any web page with a button with an image overlaid on it and note that when you press down / click on it, the button image moves to the left -1px and top -1px.
This affects everything from the search button on the bing.com homepage (although by default it depends on document mode 7), to the select and add to cart buttons in the Apple store. This looks very bad, and it seems to be happening in IE8 when the above modes are set.
