Receive Perforce mail to any email address after sending?

Question

With perforce, a user can receive email notifications of changes to a specific file or directory by specifying it in the Reviewsuser record field (for more information, see the Perforce Documentation ).

However, I would like for email notifications to be sent to the team's mailing list, which, of course, is not a regular user. One way to do this would be for a team member to post a mailing list for their email address, and another to create a user account for the mailing list (would you need a different license?). Of course, there must be a better way.

If you want to use the user’s field of view, you are entitled to a free “background user” license that can meet your needs (thus, none of your “real” users will need to change their email address):

Background User - Perforce user account that is used exclusively for automatic tasks such as triggers and Demons. Or you could learn what you need with some kind of p4 trigger .
