Using RestructuredText and Sphinx to include a preformatted file

I am trying to make this piece of work:

Version History
---------------

These are the versions over time::

    .. include:: ../../CHANGES.txt 

That is, use the include directive to include the file as a block quote. A directive is indicated inside the block quotation. I want the contents of the file to be contained in a block quote.

Any idea how to do this?

I think the directive .. literalinclude :: should give you what you want.
