Ria and WCF Dataservices Services

My team is evaluating a major business portal. (Billing, bookkeeping, salary .....)

We are all used to working with DDD, O / R mappers with NHibernate as our first choice. We decided to work with CompositeWPF to maintain modularity between all modules and the parts system on the business portal.

Now we have appreciated the services of Ria and are disappointed with how it works on the basis of data, data-oriented, data-oriented can be good in a service-oriented scenario, but we feel that we can with an object-oriented approach, and we feel that we we can get an application with less complexity using the OO approach than the DO approach. For example, it does not allow the relationship Value Objects, Many-to-many, everything must have keys, etc.

We have not watched WCF data services yet, so our question is WCF Data Services? Does it integrate well with Silverlight 4? Can we work with it in OO way?

RIA / WCF is not associated with the replacement of O / R-mappers, etc. This applies to displaying data in an open format in another application. Not a high level, but mainly for integration. IMHO it's pretty silly to put this in an application, but it's a great front end, especially when it gets toolkit support.

Good examples:

  • Access to bank accounting. If only I could do home banking using Odata;) And get my excel account statements.

  • Ebay OData . . , , TOOLING. Excel, OData.
