Is any performance always different from Java >> and >>> right shift operators?

Is there any reason to believe that operators with shift right → (signed) and →> (unsigned) in Java will work differently? I can not detect the difference in my car.

This is a purely academic question; I'm not sure this will be a bottleneck. I know: it is best to write what you mean first of all; use → to divide by 2, for example.

I assume that it comes down to which architectures have which operations are implemented as instructions.
