How to embed WMV files in my html file

I made some demos in WMV format that I want to embed in my html page. I found the code for this, but one thing annoys me: it shows a black front instead of the image of the first frame. And I can, of course, put some descriptive text around frames / films, but it's not such a nice view: all black squares with a play button under it. What do I need to do to show the (first) frame of the movie?

Ps tried in IE8 and FF3.6, both blacks appeared.
