IIS6: When the application pool is processed, is it called Session_End?

I need to know, because I have to explicitly close some remote resources associated with a user session.

I do not agree with Darin. I call a function in Session_End to record the end of the session. I did not check this explicitly, but in the last few times I have looked at the logs in that the application pool is being processed. The called function called and ended the end of active sessions.

This happened when the application pool redesigned on schedule and when it was redesigned because I deployed several new dlls.

Note that Session_End is only called if you are using Inproc session mode. For other modes (including SQL session state mode), this event is never raised.
