Facebook application, how to check if there is a Facebook canvas / standalone file inside using PHP?

I want to develop an application for connecting to Facebook, which can work both inside the Facebook canvas and offline.

Is it possible to check if a Facebook user uses canvas / does not use the official Facebook PHP client library?

In the case of the Canvas page, Facebook will pass the client's IP address into an additional HTTP header with the name X-FB-USER-REMOTE-ADDR.
