HG: upgrade directory to a specific version without cloning the entire repo?

Is it possible to updatecreate a directory for a specific version without cloning the entire repository (local or central server) in Mercurial and how can I use it? That would be great, because clonefor the whole repo, it takes a lot of time for me at first, and the folder really doesn't need a complete repo. For example: default and branch b2.3 from which I want to update.

Thanks in advance!:)

You can pull out a specific branch by, say b2.3, using hg clone -r b2.3 source-repo target-repo.
