We are in the process of moving from the C # Guid.NewGuid () random number generator to the sequential pointer algorithm proposed in this post . Although this seems to work well for MS SQL Server, I'm not sure about the consequences for Oracle databases in which we store pointers in a raw (16) field. Does anyone have an idea whether this algorithm will be good for creating sequential graphs for Oracle, as well as for MS SQL Server or if you need to use another option.
Thank!
