Netbeans AutoUpdate unusually slow / dysfunctional in Netbeans 6.8 Recent

I am running 2.5Ghz C2D with 4 GB of RAM, so there is no hard reason why Netbeans should be so weak. Using the latest release of Netbeans and the grails plugin (installed through the plugin manager), automcomplete is either too slow or does not work at all.

If I'm in a class and I try to automatically fill in a field, it takes 3-4 seconds before it can finish the field name.

If I am in the class of the same package (for example, unit test), I cannot get any properties that will be displayed on the object. In addition, he says “Scanning is in progress” for 5-6 seconds before raising the list of methods.

Is there any way to fix this behavior?

There is no solution. I hope that 6.9 handles the grails better. Until now, IntelliJ offers the same or better functionality, and autocomplete actually works.
