I am building a small start-up company that will be created using a subscription-based billing model. The bill will be sent to customers both monthly and quarterly, depending on the preferences of the end user. My question has two parts:
I'm new to online payment, and I really know Pay Pay when it comes to paying third-party payments, but it's more like a billing system. I am sure that there are more effective alternatives than PayPal for third-party payment processors (I tried to use them for Google, but I have problems finding exactly what I'm looking for). What options (companies) are available for processing payments by third parties and what types of events (good or bad) did you have with them?
We would like to provide our customers with the ability to set recurring payments. I would prefer not to store the customer's credit card number in our database, as I believe that there are many compliance recommendations around this. Is there a third-party solution for processing recurring payments?
On the side of the note, this is not necessarily a code related issue, and more business oriented. I was not sure if there is a better route for posting this question, and please use it or change if there is another route I have to take.
