Weblogic JDBC datasource provides "No resources currently available in the pool" with one active connection

I am using weblogic JDBC datasource, and my DB is Oracle 10g, below is the configuration.

It worked fine, but suddenly it started giving problems, see exception below.

Weblogic JDBC DataSource, java.sql.SQLException: Unable to get XAConnection weblogic.common.resourcepool.ResourceLimitException: Resources currently available in the pool

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <jdbc-data-source

    1 100 1 true SQL SELECT 1 FROM DUAL

    DataJndi OnePhaseCommit

This exception occurs in a dev environment where there is only one connected user.

I know that this is due to the maximum pool size, but I also suspect that it might be due to Oracle, maybe Oracle cannot create connections.

My questions:

  • Is there any debug / logging option to enable data logging so that I can check the number of connections received, issued, and unused in the logs?
  • How can I check the oracle connection restriction for a specific user?
