I cannot launch an Android application on an emulator / device - doesn’t activity exist?

When I try to run my application on the emulator, I get an error message from the activity manager:

ActivityManager: Error type 3

My activity exists, is indicated in the manifest (in fact, this is its main activity).

Does anyone know what this error means?

I don’t remember how I fixed it - most likely I wiped the local copy and reinstalled from svn.

If you start Eclipse, try Projects → Clear .. . and clear the project before restarting.
