Django Backend-Neutral DictCursor

Is there a way to get a neutral dictionary in Django? This will be the cursor, which is more of a dictum than a tuple. I have to use Oracle for the school project I'm working on.

You can write this in a few lines :)

def dict_cursor(cursor):
    description = [x[0] for x in cursor.description]
    for row in cursor:
        yield dict(zip(description, row))

:

simplify_description = lambda cursor: [x[0] for x in cursor.description]
dict_cursor = lambda c, d: dict(zip(d, r) for r in c))
