Delete field using curl in couchdb

Question

I searched and not found, can I remove the couchdb document field using curl?

The most I can do is delete the document :(

 curl -X DELETE http://localhost:5984/users/jack?rev=1-cee2abbbe4afefa9b3b5db10260c0c94

If you want to delete any field, you need to edit the document using the PUT method, where you send all the document fields, id and rev. included, but without a field to delete. The Http DELETE method is intended only to delete a complete document, without a field in it :)

I believe that you should execute the PUT request containing the modified document and the _rev version that you are modifying.
