MOV BX, [SI] - ASM Question

I study ASM 8086 theoretically in high school.
And when I do this:
MOV BX,[SI]
SI + 1 goes to BH or BL?

I think your question is about endianness x86, and the answer is that it is unimportant: the byte to the SI address goes to BL. The byte in SI + 1 goes to BH.
